Congratulations to the Burlington Bulls!

West Mountain Baseball hosted their annual Rookie Ball Classic this weekend. Attended by 16 teams from Southern Ontario. The AAA Final game was won by the Mississauga North Senior Tigers in a 13-0 shutout over the Hamilton Cardinals. 1st Baseman #15 Mathew Deen backed up by Right fielder #7 Josh Nixon prepares to catch the throw that makes the Cardinals #4 Brock Hudecki the final out. The Cardinals had finished round robin play in first place having scored 56 runs over 5 games, but could not get their bats working in the championship game. The AA final was a decisive 14-3 win by the Guelph Royals over the Windsor Stars. Zack St.Amand, Connor Humphrey, and E.J.Martinez each went 3 for 3 with 2 of Martinez' hits being triples. The A1, and A2 finals were both down to the wire and won in the bottom of the 7th inning. With Burlington edging Oakville #1, 12-11 for the A1 title and Oakville #2 defeating Bloordale 13-12.
